Stunning high quality Porcelain Cake Service from the late 1800's with gorgeous Limoges inspired Rose floral designs in softest Yellow and Pink. In the center of each collectible plate, two exceptional roses are wonderfully detailed, each petal unfurled just so, Lavender Violets and soft green leaves are the perfect compliment. Around the perimeter, fine gilt beaded garlands swag from single roses. The rims were hand painted with gold, and outlined with black for a beautiful effect.
Hand enameling on the flowers give additional depth. In wonderful antique condition with minimal wear to the gilt rims. Double marked, the blanks were made by Zeh Scherzer & Co. Of Rehau, Bavaria, Germany, and marked by the Royal Munich decorating studio. A lovely set to add to your antique porcelain collection, to display with your French Limoges dishes, or to present as a luxury gift to some one you love. Comes with large serving plate and 6 cake plates, in good antique condition, one plate has a small indentation, mentioned for accuracy, might be a factory error as it has been gilded over.
