Stunning 19th Century Estate Oil Painting of a lush arrangement of Golden Yellow Roses, painted by an accomplished artist in the mid to late 1800's. Gorgeous colors, the flowers are in full bloom, each petal captured unfurling. Rich, jewel like colors, this was painted on board with oils, in the style of Paul de Longpre or Catherine Klein so beloved by the Victorians.
A wonderful collectible large size, this painting is framed in the original gilt gesso over wood frame. There are a few areas of loss on the edge of the frame as shown in the last photograph. Bright lemon gilt liner, and wood gilt mat set off this decorative painting perfectly. Unsigned, this is a decorative addition to your collection of antique flower paintings. Original wood back board was replaced by the family to protect the painting. Measures 23~1/4" x 21~1/4" x 2".
