Romantic Homes November 2010
I decorated my home for the Holidays using some of my very favorite FrenchGardenHouse home accessories. Get inspired by my simple mantel display, so easy to make using things you may already have and a garland of juniper cuttings. Layering the mirrors makes it especially eye catching! The casual French Holiday tablesettings are a snap too, using some of my favorite vintage and bistro dishes and tableware. You will find them in our Kitchen category, I chose them especially with the holidays in mind!
Don't forget to create a festive outdoor setting. I simply arranged lots of antique & vintage garden items outside on my potting bench, and added pinecones and fresh juniper cuttings. Concentrate on a little area by your front door, fill baskets with pinecones, and fresh greens. A few antique garden pots and some ivies is all it takes for the holidays to begin at your front door!
Finally, make this easy to do wreath from an old French book, or sheet music. Then wrap your gifts in vintage style. For the ones shown below I scanned antique graphics into my computer and printed them out with my color printer. Tie on some bits and baubles, and they make adorable gifts! It's easy to have happy holidays at home with a vintage flair.
