Our site is secured by encryption tools by our website host. Our secure check~out system is highly encrypted for your safety. All your payment information is processed through Paypal, the most secure check out system available with security levels on par with the US Military. Your information is protected by Paypal's SSL Encryption for the highest level of Internet Security.

Payment Policy

We accept payment via American Express, Discover, Visa and Master Card. You can also pay by direct bank transfer or from your checking or savings account via Paypal. For your convenience we can also accept credit cards directly over the telephone, pls. call us at (714) 454-3231. Our business hours are 9 - 5, Monday ~ Saturday, California {Pacific Time}

Checks and Money Orders
 
We do accept checks and money orders on occasion.  If you would like to send a check, please call us for approval at 714 454 3231. Checks will need to clear the bank first, before merchandise will be shipped out, this can take up to 10 days. International orders must be paid with a credit card.
We will reserve items purchased by check for you for five days. If we don't receive your payment within 5 days from when you order it, we will place it back in inventory. Because we sell mostly one of a kind items, and often have more than one interested buyer, we can't promise you that this item will be available should you not get your payment to us in time. The best way to pay for your item is via Credit Card as indicated above. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS MUST PAY SALES TAX OR PROVIDE US WITH A COPY OF A VALID RESALE CERTIFICATE.

Layaway
 
We know that sometimes you may discover the perfect treasure but need a bit more time to fit it into your budget. We can accept layaways for orders over $500.00. We ask for a 50% deposit, and the remaining 50% due within 30 days. If you would like to arrange a layaway, please email us to ask before making your purchase. Deposits are non-refundable, if you discontinue your payment you will forfeit any monies paid.

Shipping
 
Your satisfaction is most important to us, so we pack everything ourselves. If you purchase multiple items, you may receive more than one package. Our items are shipped via UPS or Priority Mail, depending on size and weight restrictions. Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for the cost of processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase and delivering them to you.

Shipping Rates are for Continental US ONLY - All others (including Alaska & Hawaii) may have slightly higher charges for shipping. We will invoice for additional shipping should this be needed before your package is shipped. 

WE SHIP MANY ITEMS WORLDWIDE ~ but do not ship to countries within the EU. any longer due to new shipping regulations. {Furniture is not able to ship out of the US at this time, unless you arrange your own shipping/forwarder} International Buyers, please email us before making your purchase, due to various size restrictions imposed by different countries. Please indicate the item, and your country, along with your city and postal code.

International items are shipped via US Airmail insured. Some items are oversized and can't be shipped Internationally, so please check with us prior to purchase. We will ship your items as quickly as possible, but please allow sufficient time for items to be properly boxed for shipping, and to clear your country's customs. Please be aware that your Customs Dept. may charge you a customs fee, import tax or other duty, this is your responsibility to pay, FrenchGardenHouse is not responsible for any portion of this payment.
 
 
Freight Shipping for Furniture and Oversized Items:
 
 
Furniture and larger items ship via freight carrier. You can arrange the shipping yourself with Plycon Vanlines or other commercial shipper, or we will be happy to be assist you in getting a shipping quote. The shipper is responsible for delivering your pieces in good condition, if there is a damage, they will either repair, replace, or refund. FrenchGardenHouse can't be responsible for damages incurred during shipping, but we will do our utmost best to assist you in making a claim with the shipping company if we help arrange the shipping with you. Most carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Freight companies will contact you a few days prior to the delivery to schedule a delivery date and time frame (usually in 2-4 hour blocks) convenient for you. Freight items can only be shipped within the 48 contiguous states.

You will be charged a delivery trip fee if your scheduled appointment is missed. Someone must be at home to accept/inspect delivery, so please be sure a responsible adult will be home. Although our suppliers take great care in packaging their goods for shipping, damages may occur in transit.

Please inspect your furniture carefully BEFORE you sign off on the delivery, paying carefull attention to all feet and legs, unwrapping the plastic on each piece. If the furniture has any defects DO NOT sign for the items. Contact us immediately while the trucking company is there so that we may discuss the best way to handle the situation. If you are not able to get in contact with us, please either refuse the delivery or note the damages and status of the packaging materials on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery. FrenchGardenHouse will be unable to assist you in the replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedures are not followed.  In case the shipper damages your item, we will do our utmost best to help coordinate repairs with the shipper, this is why we cover all shipping pieces with shipping insurance.  The shipper will either repair the damage via a professional, or replace the piece for you.

If you need to reschedule the delivery with the carrier, please contact them as soon as possible so as not to incur any charges for missed delivery appointments.

 

 

To make a successful damage claim:

 

  1. If your order includes Premium Delivery and you are able to inspect the items while the freight company is still there, call us immediately. If you are not able to get in contact with us for any reason, you may either refuse the delivery or note the damages and condition of the packing materials on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery.
  2. If your order includes Standard Delivery and you are not able to inspect the items completely before the delivery driver leaves, you have 48 hours to notify us.
  3. Take photos of the damage to the items AND also the packing materials.
  4. Please Email photos and a written description of the damage to us.
  5. If the damage is minor, you may accept delivery with the damage noted on the bill of lading. Depending on the situation, either a touch up kit will be sent to you or a professional furniture medic will be arranged to repair the damage. If you choose to accept a damaged item, please retain all packaging to assist in the claim with the freight company.
  6. If the damage is major, you may refuse delivery. The freight company reserves the right to have the piece repaired and brought back to the manufacturer for a repair/rebuild. If the freight carrier determines the piece cannot be repaired, you have the right to be reimbursed for your purchase or have another piece rushed at no additional charge and shipped out to you as soon as possible.
  7. In case the ship to address is not accessible by regular delivery truck, the customer will be responsible for all additional delivery charges, i.e. ferry fees. Please contact us to make FrenchGardenHouse aware of any special delivery requirements that must be taken for the item to reach the final destination.

*We seek out new products of high quality, things that will last and add beauty for many years, for you to feather your own nest with, or to give as a long lasting gift.
*We utilize recycled paper shredding as filler in most of our packages, we ask that you please deposit this in your recycling bin, if your city's Trash Service provides these.
*All our shipping boxes, tissue and bags are made with recycled paper, they are also made in the USA. We always re-use packing material, at times we use boxes we are recycling ourselves to ship your items, but only when doing so will retain the utmost in safety for your purchases.
*We will consolidate your order into as few containers as safely possible. We are constantly trying to update the "way we do things" in order to make a difference.
 

Returns

We truly appreciate your business, all purchases are yours to keep and treasure, all sales are final. We try to describe all pieces accurately and to point out any "flaws". Our antique and vintage items are time worn, sometimes Shabby, they have those lovely dings, scratches and other wear that make them truly well~loved. We rarely sell "perfect" antiques, and we will always point out any flaws in our descriptions. We strive to provide you with detailed photos and descriptions on each of our items so that you can make educated decisions
 
Please email any questions or concerns about an item prior to making your purchase, we're happy to assist you with your selection! Please read the item descriptions and measurements provided before making a purchase. Please do not return an item to us at our Huntington Beach address without prior authorization, we will have to return your package to you at your cost. If you are truly unhappy with an antique piece that you purchase from us, please use the CONTACT US link, attn: Lidy. I truly do want you to be more than delighted with an antique piece you purchase from FrenchGardenHouse.
 
In the event of a disputed credit card charge, which is ultimately found to have been legitimate or which otherwise finds, in whole or in part, in favor of FrenchGardenHouse, the customer shall be responsible for all attorneys' fees and costs borne by FrenchGardenHouse. The terms of any purchase from or dispute with FrenchgardenHouse shall be governed by California law, and any litigation arising out of such dispute shall be brought in the State of California, County of Orange, in the district governing the City of Huntington Beach.
 
In the unlikely event that your item is received damaged by the shipper, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt. Please keep all packaging and boxing materials. Please see our complete special order policy.
