Sourced from the brocantes in France, each of our antique Pillows are made of antique textiles to create a contemporary heirloom for your home. These hand woven and hand sewn pieces are in good to outstanding condition, we use the finest hand wovens, home spuns, and tickings we can find. We love to create new pieces for you to love, while honoring the women who made these beautiful textiles so long ago.

This pillow is made from an antique Grain Sack, woven of Linen Flax, which is known for its durability and strength. The varying stripes indicate which mills each sack came from. It is impossible to find a modern fabric with such history and character.

 

This has two Red stripes, and a Red Monogram, nubby and fabulous antique "hand"~ closes with three ties made of the original sack closure. Envelope style, this pillow is filled with an antique French Feather Pillow encased in antique French Ticking. Measures approximately 51cm (20" ) square. One~of~a~kind.
