We were thrilled to buy a small Button Hook Collection. These two are Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Button Hooks, both have ornate Art Nouveau Repousse Handles. Beautiful pieces. with the flowing organic designs the era was so fond of.

#1. Floral Design, featuring gorgeous Lillies, they almost look like Fleur de Lis. Measures 8" long. Absolutely stunning, a few little dings and the hook portion has darkened with age, commensurate with the age of this lovely Victorian piece, late 1800's. A delightful addition to your Victorian Sewing Collection.

 

#2. Gorgeous Lady Portrait surrounded by Flowers, swirls and everything that says "nouveau" styling. Measures 6~3/4" long. Beautiful, these pieces with the ladies or goddess portrait are so beloved by collectors. Some dings in the sterling, of note the very top, and there is a slight "rattle" of something inside, most likely the cement inside has a little piece loose. Never mind, she is beyond beautiful! Late 1800's.
