What a find! This early 1900's Wedding Congratulations Postcard is still in the original Box, and has the orignal clear cellophane Envelope. Embellished on the front with German Glass Glitter Wedding Bells, White Millinery Flowers, Velvet Fern Fronds, and real dried Foliage topped by a White Silk Bow.
Cards like this were actually quite expensive in the early 1900's, so much so that they were sold in a box for presentation, but also to keep the fragile hand embellishments intact until sold.
Perfect for your Wedding Collection, a little intact set like this does't often come on the market. There is discoloration as you would expect for a card over 100 years old, and the Envelope has damage {these are generally gone, the material was extremely brittle}Box has done its job of keeping the card pristine, it has 100 years of discoloration. Measures 5~3/8" x 3~3/8" for card, box is 6"x 3~3/4".
